TierNation on your server

Show tiers in your lobby, match players by skill, run tier-gated events or just let your players see who they're up against. Everything here is free.

The client mod

Your players install the TierNation mod themselves and see everyone's tier above their head, in the Tab list and in chat. It's client-side only: nothing to install on your server, no plugin, no permissions. It only talks to our API, never to your server. Point players to tiernation.club/download.

Public API

Read-only JSON, no key needed, open CORS. It's compatible with MCTiers and TierTagger, so tools built for those work with us too. Base address: https://tiernation.club/api/v2

Players without a tier are left out of the answer. Tiers use tier 1 (best) to 5 and pos 0 = High, 1 = Low, 2 = Mid (HT, LT, MT).

Limits and caching

Per IP address, per minute: 120 requests, 60 bulk lookups. Over the limit you get 429 with a Retry-After header.
Answers are cached for a minute, so polling faster than that gains nothing. Use the bulk endpoint for many players.
Credit "TierNation" with a link wherever you show our data, and drop players who hide or delete their profile. Full rules: API and mod terms.

Logo and name

Write it as TierNation. You may use the logo to link to us or to show that your server uses our tiers, but not in a way that suggests we run or endorse your server.
